Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) is a single-stranded RNA virus, spherical in shape, with particles 120-200 nm in size. It has one serotype, divided into subtypes A and B, and is a major cause of acute respiratory infections in children, transmitted via droplets and close contact. Adenovirus (ADV) is a double-stranded DNA virus, with icosahedral symmetry and particles measuring 60-90 nm. It can be divided into seven subgroups (A-G), with subgroups B, C, and E causing respiratory tract infections, presenting symptoms like fever, cough, and nasal congestion. Parainfluenza Virus (PIV) is a single-stranded RNA virus, spherical, 125-250 nm in diameter. It has four subtypes, with types 1, 2, and 3 causing respiratory infections in children and adults. Types 1 and 3 are particularly associated with outbreaks.

Product Details FAQ Specification Instructions

This product selects highly conserved regions of Respiratory Syncytial Virus, Adenovirus and Parainfluenza virus to designs specific primers and fluorescent probes. The 5' end of the probe is labeled with the fluorescence reporter and the 3' end is labeled with the fluorescence quencher. During PCR amplification, when the probe maintains the complete sequence, the fluorescence of the fluorescence reporter is absorbed by the fluorescence quencher without producing fluorescence.

When the probe is bound to the template, the probe will be cut off by the 5'→3' exonuclease activity of DNA polymerase, and the fluorescence reporter will be separated from the fluorescence quencher, and the fluorescence cannot be absorbed by the quencher, resulting in a fluorescence signal. The fluorescence PCR instrument will automatically draw a fluorescence curve according to the detected fluorescence signal and determine the detection result. In order to control the whole process of sampling, extraction and PCR amplification, human gene was act as a non-competitive internal control during the detection process.

Multiplex Detection: 3 in 1 test for Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), Adenovirus (ADV), Parainfluenza Virus (PIV).

Short Turnaround Time: Results can be obtained in as little as 35 minutes.

Internal Control Included: Incorporates an internal control to monitor the entire extraction and detection process, ensuring reliability and quality of the results.

Easy to Use: qPCR is completed in a single step with fully enclosed amplification and detection, preventing aerosol contamination.

The Kit (Fluorescence PCR) is used for the qualitative detection of the Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), Adenovirus (ADV) and Parainfluenza virus (PIV) nucleic acid in specimens of oropharyngeal swabs from suspected cases.

1. The unopened kit should be stored at -20℃±5℃ away from light.

2. The kit can be stored for up to 12 months if all components are kept in the manner above. Do not use after the stated expiry date.

3. The kit can be transported for 7 days at temperatures not exceeding 8°C without affecting its validity period.

4. Don’t open unless you are ready to use the kit. The kit can be stored for 7 days at 2~8℃ after opening.
