Group B Streptococcus (GBS), also known as Streptococcus agalactiae, is a pathogen causing perinatal and neonatal infection. It can cause chorioamnitis of pregnant women, lead to abortion, premature rupture of membranes and intra uterine infection, can also lead to newborn pneumonia, meningitis, sepsis and so on. This kit contains human internal reference to ensure the effectiveness of the whole process from sample collection, transportation, nucleic acid extraction to PCR amplification, and the sample contains endogenous inhibitors and exogenous inhibitors such as blood (containing 130-185 g/L hemoglobin and 4.0-10.0×109 /L white blood cells), cervical mucus, etc. It has no obvious influence on the detection result.

The kit can be applied to Bioer's Fluorescent Quantitative Detection System,QuantGene 9600 (FQD-96C) and LineGene 9600 Plus (FOD-96A). The instrument should contain channels of FAM and CY5.

Group B Streptococcus Nucleic Acid Detection Kit (Fluorescent PCR) is based onin vitro Real time PCR combining fluorescent probing. Primers and asequence-specific fluorescence probe were designed tailored to CAMP gene ofGroup B Streptococcus. The probe of Group B Streptococcus is oligonucleotide attached fluorophores at the 5' end with FAM as reporter and 3’end with quencherIn a meantime, specific primers and probe on basis of human p-Globin gene weredeveloped as internal reference with fluorophores CY5 attached at 5’end asreporter. During the PCR procedures, the DNA polymerase cleaves the probe atthe 5’end and separates the reporter dye from the quencher dye when the probehybridizes to the target DNA. This cleavage results in the fluorescent signalgenerated by the cleaved reporter dye, which is monitored real-time by the PCRdetection system. Monitoring the fluorescence intensities during Real Time allowsthe qualitative detection of Group B Streptococcus in specimens.

High sensitivity: the detection sensitivity can reach 1000 copies/mL.

Strong specificity: no cross reaction with a variety of other types of HPV and similar pathogens.

Wide detection range: covering most HPV types in clinical practice.

Simple operation: from sample processing to detection results can be completed within 90 minutes.
