African Swine fever virus (ASFV) is a double-stranded DNA virus belonging to Asfarviridae, which can cause acute and hemorrhagic symptoms in domestic pigs or wild boar after infection. The virus spreads quickly among pigs and could have serious effects for the breeding industry if it is not detected in time. Bioer ASFV real-time PCR detection reagent series is specially designed for this virus, with high efficiency, stability, strong specificity and other characteristics, can meet the needs of different users.

Product Details FAQ Specification Instructions

African swine fever virus (ASFV) can be detected by virus isolation, serological assays, and nucleic acid–based methods. Among these approaches, real-time PCR is widely recognized as the most reliable technique due to its high sensitivity, specificity, and ability to detect viral DNA at early stages of infection.

The BSL04 African Swine Fever Virus Real Time PCR Detection Kit is developed based on duplex real-time PCR technology, enabling rapid and accurate detection of ASFV DNA while simultaneously monitoring assay performance through an exogenous control. With a ready-to-use master mix and broad sample compatibility, the kit provides a practical and dependable solution for routine ASFV testing and surveillance.

Wide Sample Compatibility

Compatible with whole blood, serum, swabs, tissues, fecal, and environmental samples.

Ultra-High Sensitivity

Detects ASFV DNA with a limit of detection as low as 500 copies/mL.

Fast & Reliable qPCR Detection

Duplex real-time PCR ensures highly sensitive and specific ASFV detection within 60 minutes.

Simple Workflow with Built-In Control

One-tube, ready-to-use master mix enables simultaneous detection of ASFV and an exogenous internal control.

The kit achieved qualitative detection of ASFV by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) combined with Taqman fluorescent probe technology. The primers and Taqman probes in the kit were designed using the specific fragment of the conserved gene VP72 of ASFV.

1. The kit need to be transported under freezing conditions.

2. The kit should be stored at -25℃~-15℃ away from light, and avoid repeated freeze-thaw more than 5 times.

3. The kit can be stored for up to 12 months if all components are kept in the manner above. (Please use the kit in the period of validity).
